   What is MyLiveTutor?

   MyLiveTutor is an online platform that matches tutors and students. Parents indicate when they need a tutor and pay safely and easily online. Taking classes and getting acquainted takes place online via the virtual classroom.

2. Why choose MyLiveTutor?

   MyLiveTutor is an online platform. The tutoring session takes place via a virtual classroom. Both tutor and child can follow the session in their own familiar environment. No hassle with travel time, delays in public transport or traffic jams. The tutor is therefore not dependent on location. This way you can find the most suitable tutor for your child. Regardless of location.

3. Is MyLiveTutor only available online?

   Yes, MyLiveTutor is only available online. MyLiveTutor makes use of a virtual classroom, with which the tutor sessions are given online.

For tutors

1. How can I register as a tutor?

   You can register via the link in the menu 'Register as a tutor'. Fill out the form and we will contact you as soon as possible regarding the rest of the registration procedure.

2. Who can register as a tutor?

   Anyone can sign up for MyLiveTutor. Are teaching, motivating and stimulating children your passions? Then MyLiveTutor is for you.

3. How does the registration procedure work?

   After you have registered via the registration form nwe will contact you. The application procedure includes an intake interview. We would also like to receive a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) from you. You can apply for this yourself. Then fill in your profile and when everything is in order, your profile will be published and you can start!

4. Wat does MyLiveTutor cost?

   The use of MyLiveTutor is free. You do need to apply for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). This costs about 30 euros.

5. How much money can I make with MyLiveTutor?

   How much you can earn as a tutor depends on your rate and how often you are available. You determine your own rate. However, we do ask a small contribution from your income, 15%, the rest is for you.

1. How do I find a tutor?

   On MyLiveTutor, tutors offer their services. You can find the right tutor for you in different ways. Go to search for a tutor and filter your search. Click on the profile of the tutor you want to book.

2. How do I contact a tutor?

   Getting in touch with a tutor is very easy! Write a short message with your wishes in the message window on the profile of the tutor and click on send message. The tutor will contact you as soon as possible.

3. How do I book a tutor?

   To book a tutor click on the profile of the tutor you want to book. On the profile of the tutor you can click on the button 'book this tutor'. Follow the instructions on the screens that follow and you're ready to continue learning!

4. Do I need an account to book a tutor?

   Yes. You need an account to book a tutor.

5. I have booked a tutor, what's next?

   You have been in contact with your tutor and you are now ready to start the tutor session. Once you have paid you can go to your overview page to see when the session starts. Click on the blue button to enter the virtual classroom.

6. How do online tutor sessions work?

   You'll meet your tutor in our virtual classroom where you both have access to video, audio and chat windows, as well as the convenient online whiteboard where you can share documents and desktop and use the drawing tools. Sessions are live and one-on-one, and they are even recorded so you can watch them later for revision.

7. Are the tutor sessions recorded?

   Yes, all sessions are recorded and can be viewed by both parties immediately after the tutorsession.

8. What do I need to participate in the virtual classroom?

   To participate in the virtual classroom you need a camera, speakers and a microphone. WWe recommend a headset with microphone.

1. I forgot my password, what do I do now?

   You log in with you login name and a password. If you don't remember your password you can reset your password here.

2. Can I change my psasword?

   Yes, you can change your password in 'My settings', under 'Password'. My settings can be found in your MyLiveTutor account (for the account, click on your username at the top).

3. Is uploading a profile picture mandatory?

   No. This is entirely your own choice but we do recommend it.

4. How do I upload a profile picture?

   You can upload a photo (.jpg or .png file) in 'My settings' 'My settings' you will find in your MyLiveTutor account (for the account click on your username at the top). Go to 'My profile' and click on 'Upload' under Profile Photo.

5. Can I remove my profile picture?

   Yes, go to 'My settings'. My settings can be found in your MyLiveTutor account (for the account, click on your username at the top). At 'My profile' you will find your profile picture. Click on 'Delete'..

6. Where is my confirmation email?

   Take a look in your junk mail or SPAM folder. Maybe the e-mail ended up in that folder. To prevent this from happening more often, you can add 'info@mylivetutor.com' to your address book.

The virtual lessonspace

1. I can't enter the virtual classroom. What am I doing wrong?

   Check if you are connected to the internet. If you have a connection and you are still unable to do so, check whether the payment has been successful. It is possible that the tutor is not yet in the room. Then wait a while for this. If it still doesn't work, please contact MyLiveTutor.

2. My speaker doesn't work. What should I do?

   Check if your speaker is turned on and connected to your pc/laptop. If this is the case, check that you have given permission to the browser to record sound. Read more about image and audio.

3. My microphone doesn't work. What should I do?

   Make sure your microphone is turned on and connected to your PC/laptop. If this is the case, check if you have given permission to the browser to record sound. image and audio.

4. My camera doesn't work. What should I do?
